Dear Buds Diary,

I miss Jacky. He's been in Hawaii visiting his family and isn’t back until later this month. I love travelling with him and going to different spots to eat. And we both can definitely EAT.

I filled out one of those dumb weed quizzes to pass the time…

Does cannabis affect the creative mind? Definitely mine, I feel like I get a sense of confidence and I free myself from boundaries. I allow myself to just create whatever it is I'm feeling at the moment. 

Sativa or Indica? Indica.

Flower or Edibles? I don’t mind flower, but edibles hit different and I prefer them more now. 

Favorite Drag Queen? I’d have to say Kandy Muse lol, cuz she's fab and Dominican like me.

What is your favorite album to get stoned to? Massive Attack Protection

Favorite Munchies? I love spicy garlicky crunchy pickles, vinegar chips, dark chocolate peanut butter cups, dried or fresh mangos, a dominican chimi sandwich... I can keep going forever, so let me stop haha. 

Which actress would play you in a movie about your life? Drake? Lol 

Mushrooms or LSD? Depending on the environment, shrooms for nature and LSD for raving. 

Where do you want to be in an hour? In an hour I want to be on my couch with my man catching up on our shows :) 

Wednesday

Today I met up with Tony and Rollin for our usual Chinatown link up. We lit up to jumpstart our appetites :) and then headed over to Noodle Village for some munchies. My favorite thing to order is the claypot rice with chinese sausage—so yummy. We always have to get some bubble tea from Kung-fu Tea. They have the best boba in my opinion.

Oh yeah, Rollin also got a plant for his new apartment!

Thursday

I was looking at some images I shot in 2019, pre-covid and I was thinking about how Queens Pride is my favorite pride. I’m sad this year we weren’t able to go out to Roosevelt Ave and see the parade. They also set up a bunch of vendors and food stalls that take up over 3-4 blocks and two huge stages for performances. Me and my brother would always plan to go together and we’d spend the whole day into the night with our friends.

Getting some extra sleep tonight. This coming weekend is going to be fun! Rafa invited us over to spend some time on Fire Island for his last weekend at the Boffo house. I’ll be signing off till Sunday Buds Diary but I’ll catch up with you then.

Buds!

The weekend was amazing. I met up with Christian, Rayly and Alexis and we trekked it over to meet up with Victor and Rafa on the island. The weather was beautiful and there were tons of people out looking for some fun and sun. We threw a big house party for Rafa's reception. I got to spin alongside DJ Guapo and DJ Delabae. The music was what the island was missing. Here are some of the best tracks from that night:

We grilled A LOT (well, Rayly did most of it haha—thank you Rayly!) and got tons of pool time. Overall, a great, chill time with a good group of friends, kicking off pride month the right way.
